  • How much does it cost?

    As an initial offer, the Skimondo guide for use on Nokia GPS phones will be provided as a free download (see Download  & Activate).  Using Skimondo Guide to see your friends tracks during the day, or to record your own tracks as you ski will use mobile data services provided by you network operator.

    Skimondo tracker, including both equipment and service may be rented from a series of points in Verbier.  If you are in the resort, check locally for details.
  • Supported Phones

    Skimondo will run on a wide range of phones (for the technically minded any phone that runs Symbian S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1!).   For a full list follow this link to check whether your phone will do the job, or to select a new one. On any of these phones you will be able to see the position of Skimondo Trackers and Guides that are part of your group.

    Of course, to get the best out of Skimondo integrated GPS is a great advantage, including the following phones:

  • What is GPS?

    GPS stands for Global Positioning System.  Utilizing a constellation of at least 24 Medium Earth Orbit satellites  that transmit precise microwave signals, the system enables a GPS receiver to determine its location, speed, direction, and time.
  • Where can I use Skimondo?

    Skimondo will be launched first in Verbier and the 4 Vallées and will be extended to operate in other resorts in Switzerland, as well as other countries.
