GPS Technology

The Global Positioning System (GPS), is the only fully-functional satellite navigation system. More than two dozen GPS satellites orbit the Earth, transmitting radio signals which allow GPS receivers to determine their location, speed and direction.  Accuracy can be better than 1m, depending on conditions, for example buildings (or mountains!) obstructing the view of the satellite.  Even if you are inside a building, skimondo will hold your last position.
